Established in 1985 Utopium primarily serviced a growing need for festival and concert lighting in the South West but with continued expansion and on-going investment in new equipment the company’s portfolio grew and diversified into event and corporate lighting.

The ethos of the company is very much centred on supplying unique and innovative design solutions using a combination of present and new technology. The list of prestigious events and productions is forever increasing with the core of the business still firmly rooted in concert and festival lighting.

The company has constantly expanded and has changed location three times since it’s inception in 1985.

2006 saw the introduction of several new services to specifically cater for the needs of the educational market and the launch of a new website.

Utopium now has permanent staff spread between two sites based in Bristol and London supplying lighting for events and productions nationally.
