Utopium lit the cult show Video Games Live at the Cardiff International Arena on Thursday 3rd December 2009.
This unique event was lit from three flown trusses with four vertical trusses on stage. Using sixteen Mac 2000 profiles alongside generic fixtures such as ETC source 4 profiles, Molefay, ACL bars and Par cans controlled using Art 2000 dimmers and Hog IPC desk. Utopium met the design brief of creating a “classical yet modern atmosphere”. Production Manager Liz Roxburgh commented “Just wanted to pass on my thanks to you and all your guys at Utopium for your help with the VGL show last night. It makes such a difference when you work with pleasant, courteous and professional staff such as yourselves – please pass on my thanks to all involved and hope we get the chance to work together again in the future”.
